“I’m going to give you a little advice. There’s a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.”
That is pretty much me in a nut shell, letting the universe make things happen. I used to be the young gun of the group. I move from a Graphic Design background to Web Development and that is almost a move to the opposite sides of the spectrum from creativity and logic. I love my job though. In the time that I have worked at Moore Creative I have learned so much since I started out as an entry level developer. There isn't a better place to grow and my coworkers are like brothers.
I enjoy the same things as much as the rest of the crew: Japanese Anime/American Comics, Science Fiction and video games. A close friend of mine has met all of us and said that we are obviously coders from the conversations we have, haha. I’d hope so.
I am originally from Baltimore, MD. Go Ravens and Go O’s. I followed my family to the Carolinas when I was eight to keep an eye on my Grandmother. I am so glad we moved. I couldn't imagine how I would have turned out if I stayed there.
I grew up in the Fort Mill SC, a once small town that has since grown 4 times its size in 18 years. It was a town of adventure, good times and 4x4 vehicles. I graduated from Fort Mill High in 2006. I then went on a quest to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I switched schools a few times. My first college was Winthrop, then York Tech and finally landing at The Art Institute of Charlotte where I finished with a BS in Graphic Design.
It wasn't until my first job out of college I realized my passion lie elsewhere in the field of Computer Science. Moore Creative was happy to pick me up and that is where we are now. I started out with entry level tasks and quickly moved up to more complex scripting and even dabbled in SQL writing basic queries. I now work in PHP, ASP.Net and SQL. I’m learning more and more every day and am excited to see what the future brings.
